Mr.Murat Yazıcı, co-founder of TBS Petrol, is graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Law in 1970 and entered into the register of Ankara Bar Association in 1972. He worked especially in energy and oil & gas industries for over 35 years in Turkey and in Iraq, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other countries around the world. He worked as in-house lawyer for Shell, Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and Exxon between the years of 1974 and 1989. Between the years of 1978 and1981, he served as part time lecturer at Middle East Technical University. He founded Yazici Law Offices in 1989 and represents the Firm as the Managing Partner.

During the last years, he assisted in the drafting of the Natural Gas Marketing Law, Petroleum Marketing Law, Amendment to the Petroleum Law and other secondary legislation such as regulations, tariffs and communiqués; in the capacity of ex-chairman of the Petroleum Platform Association. He published articles and interviews in oil and gas and energy journals, presented speeches in energy and oil & gas conferences related to oil and gas issues not limited to unbundling of Turkish State Petroleum Pipeline Company (Botas), application of Gas, Petroleum and Electricity Marketing laws, Energy Charter Treaty, lacking points of energy projects in Turkey.

He is the member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, International Bar Association and Turkish – Swiss Businessman Association. He established Petroleum Platform Association in 2000 which has 53 member companies as of today, in order to reveal the voice of the sector and to provide a formation that will protect and develop the upstream and midstream petroleum industry. He was the ex-chairman and the General Secretary of the Petroleum Platform Association.

His is the founding member and the director of the board of Energy and Climate Change Foundation ( ENIVA).
